Fiesta Ya Betcha!

We had a blast at the Fiesta Ya Betcha Celebration Service this past month and I wanted to give you all an update. We had planned for about 150 people, and by the end of the night we had 10 meatballs left over. I know we made a lot of food, but I really believe that the Lord multiplied our efforts to feed more than double the number of people we were planning for. Ken Currie, the pastor over all of outreach at Bethlehem came to share a message of where our thankfulness is really found, but before all of that, he graciously allowed us to test his Spanish comprehension with a translation game. Matt Reagan from Campus Outreach partnered with us to ask Ken some "beginner" Spanish questions and Ken did phenomenal. Matt then invited the "real professional" up to the front, Laura Evans. Laura asked Ken to translate anatomy questions like the layers of the heart and what a liver is called; I really think it was beneficial for the crowd because it really drew us together through laughter.

Ken contemplating how to translate Myocardium, or something like that.

We felt very blessed that the Lord would bring so many of us together and really hope that the event brought momentum to our ministry so that more and more of our people might invite their friends and family to different events so we can partner together in sharing the Gospel.

Please pray for us as this is a big month of transitioning to our new sending agency, Bethlehem Urban Initiatives (BUI).
