Exciting Support Update and MNYC

We are so thankful that we can share some great news with you all! We found out this past week at staff training that because so many of you have been faithfully giving for up to the past 6-7 months, we have an overage in our support account that will allow us to be at 100% from January to June as long as we raise an additional $375/month. If we raise that $375 prior to mid January, we will be on the campus as soon as the semester starts all the way through beach project! We are so very thankful for all of you praying for us and for all of you who are supporting us financially to get us to the campus and to keep us there; you have helped to show us God’s faithfulness through His people.

Milwaukee New Years Conference (MNYC) is coming in just over a week. We will be traveling to Milwaukee with 4 coach buses full of students and be there from December 29-January 2. We will be at the conference with over 500 students from Indiana, Minnesota, a few from Wisconsin and also South Dakota. The conference gives students an opportunity to hear from one keynote speaker four times through the conference and then optional seminars from different staff people throughout the conference. We have a free day where students can play in a basketball tournament or go snowboarding/skiing or just hang out. There is also a concert and New Years Eve event; I shall call it an extravaganza because it is so much fun!

In the past, God has used the conference in many ways: bringing students to a sharper image of community, teaching students how to share their faith through different affinity groups on the campus and He has used it greatly to draw students to Himself for eternity. His gracious calling of students through conference gets us very excited to be there again, for both Mindy and I went as students, because we are excited to interact with students and share the Gospel with them. We are hopeful that God would allow us interactions in which we would develop relationships with students who we can continue to interact with on the campus this Spring.

Thanks again for partnering with us...keep your eyes open on Christmas eve for a special edition of the Johnson Journal: Christmas edition.
