Our Christmas Letter - 2011

Here is a copy of our 2011 Christmas Letter! Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas. Being pregnant at Christmas is so wonderful! It makes the real meaning of Christmas so much more real. I love that Jesus Christ was born a tiny baby; fully God AND fully man! I am thankful that he was born and lived a sinless life so that he would one day die on the cross at Calvary so that I can be forgiven of my sins! What a wonderful, miraculous plan our Lord had! Because of Jesus' life, death and resurrection, we can have eternal life! I am reminded of this truth every time I feel our little baby kick inside me and I think about Jesus kicking inside Mary all those years ago. Wow!
This next week, Brian and I will be traveling 18 hrs by coach bus with over 200 college students to Chattanooga, TN for a National Conference with Campus Outreach. There will be 5000 college students there! I am a little nervous for the long bus ride considering I am a hair shy of 6 months pregnant. Hopefully, I don't get to sore and restless and can sleep on the bus! Please pray for the following:
  • the long bus ride! Safe travels for us as well as the students.
  • relationships to continue with students we met last spring during our internship on campus
  • the hearts of many students to be impacted by the truth of the Gospel- especially leading to saving faith in Jesus Christ!
  • Mindy's energy and endurance to be with students each day. She is excited to do so, so we hope and pray she can as she is nearly 6 months pregnant!
  • this conference will confirm our desire to be on campus as soon as possible and therefore we will "attack" support raising with renewed vigor upon returning in January!
