Mindy and I have had a busy month. After having discussed with our supervisors within the Outreach department, we took a position as apartment managers to help our deficit with support. So, about a month ago, we moved and have been transitioning to our new apartment as well as having officially started a small group with two other couples within the Hispanic ministry. I have also been having a lot of opportunities to spend time with Eric. He and I get together twice a week; once a week we work through the book of John with the perspective of how we can teach it to others, and another time to work on transitioning conversations to spiritual subjects (this last time, we went to a board game store and successfully invited someone to play a board game with us). There is also a men's bible-study that I developed a small curriculum for from the book of James that has started in the last month on Wednesday nights. Fall is proving to be a big starting point for different ministry opportunities.

Our transition period from Campus Outreach is coming to finalization. Mindy and I have recently been accepted into Bethlehem Urban Initiatives (BUI), a sending organization for local outreach whether to international peoples or inner-city children or prison outreach ministries. As you know, we have stayed under the oversight of Campus Outreach and the Outreach department of Bethlehem Baptist Church for the last 8 months with our support. We now will transition to BUI as our overseeing sending agency; BUI is an individual sending agency that is overseen by a board consisting of three Bethlehem pastoral staff and three people involved with inner-city missional experience to ensure that we are continuing to think well for and do ministry in the cities. Our position will not change, but the location our support will need to go will change. We will get more information out to those of you on our team financially.
